Two Stick hosts a benefit for jazz legend, Herman Green tonight who will perform with Willie Waldman. Herman was involved with the evolution of modern jazz touring and recording with Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

As I said last week, this is a CAN’T MISS show at Proud Larry’s on Wednesday. I saw The Felice Brothers open for Bright Eyes last year in Memphis, and they stole the show. The opener, Deer Tick, also has a cool sound.

Charlie Mars will have his CD release show tonight at Proud Larry’s.
Tomorrow night, the Emmitt Nershi Band, including Drew Nershi of Leftover Salmon and Bill Nershi of String Cheese Instrument, will take the same stage.
Should be a great weekend at Proud Larry’s.

The Felice Brothers will play Proud Larry’s next Wedesday, October 15. I saw these guys open for Bright Eyes in Memphis last year, and they absolutely stole the show. If you only make it to one Oxford show in October, this is the one!
